In this five-day tour, based in the attractive harbour town of Kinsale, in addition to the spectacular houses at Curraghmore and Bantry, we will visit a wide range of gardens, all but two privately owned and belonging to contemporary gardeners and plantsmen. We will see two gardens in Co. Waterford, at their best in the late spring, two plantswomens’ gardens just outside Cork and a range of gardens in the far south-west, including the island garden created by Harold Peto, the woodland garden at Derreen and two remarkable gardens, planted in abundance to take advantage of the climate. We end the tour with a visit to the garden, and a final lunch, at Ballymaloe.
